A former member of the House of Representatives and ex-Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde, has congratulated Mr. Ayo Sotinrin on his recent appointment as the Managing Director of the Bank of Agriculture.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Hon. Babatunde described the appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as well-deserved and timely, noting that it reflects Sotinrin’s proven leadership and impact in the agribusiness sector.
He commended Sotinrin’s impressive track record as Group Chief Executive Officer of SAO Group, highlighting the company’s major contributions to agricultural development through SAO Agro.
“With over 20,000 hectares of oil palm plantation, as well as extensive maize and cassava farms established in Ondo State, Mr. Sotinrin has set a high standard for strategic investment and innovation in agribusiness,” Babatunde said.
He expressed confidence in Sotinrin’s ability to reposition the Bank of Agriculture for greater national impact, particularly in enhancing food security and driving sustainable agricultural growth.
“I wish him success in this national assignment and pray for God’s guidance as he leads the Bank into a new era of productivity,” he added.
