The advent of the OBIDIENTS movement has revolutionized the political framework in Africa, causing an interception in mainstream politicking.
To erupt means to break out suddenly. The OBIDIENTS eruption even more than a volcanic one, is a transformative phenomenon, causing a paradigm shift from irresponsible governance and unaccountability to good governance and accountability.
The OBIDIENTS movement is a new ideological culture in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa, anchored on the underlying principle of volunteerism and commitment; driven by people who are tired of national retrogression, epileptic leadership and undeserving stereotyped identities.
The Obidients movement has grown from a quest in changing the old order of the negative Nigerian landscape to one of the biggest social-ideological movement in Africa and the world; only second to the Civil Rights Movement in the 1950s and the Anti Apartheid Movement in the 1990s in America and South Africa.
Some similar movements that shook the world and made lasting positive difference:
– The Civil Rights Movement – Sparked by the Montgomery Bus Boycott in 1955, this movement fought for racial equality and justice in the United States, with key figures like Martin Luther King Jr. leading the charge.
– The Women’s Suffrage Movement – Emerging in the late 19th century, this movement sought to secure women’s right to vote, with suffragettes like Emmeline Pankhurst and Susan B. Anthony at the forefront.
– The Anti-Apartheid Movement – A global movement that opposed the racist policies of apartheid in South Africa, leading to the eventual dismantling of the apartheid regime in the 1990s.
– The Labour Movement – Emerging in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, this movement fought for workers’ rights, better wages, and improved working conditions.
– The Indian Independence Movement – Led by Mahatma Gandhi, this movement fought for India’s independence from British colonial rule, ultimately achieving independence in 1947.
In sharing similarities with the aforementioned movements, the OBIDIENTS movement is an eruption demanding for good governance from the people of Nigeria, after decades of unfulfilled promises from the government.
The OBIDIENTS movement is not a political organization or an election regularization scheme; it is simply a movement that focuses on rejigging governance, points it to the direction of the people and fully underscore the dividends of a democracy for, to, and by the people.
It is a paradigm shift from unfulfilling government promises to a gratifiable system of governance.
The OBIDIENTS movement spans across political parties, socio-cultural heritage, political affiliations, ethnic colouration, religious beliefs, racial compartments.

His Excellency, Mr Peter Obi the leader of the OBIDIENTS movement, gained so much trust and credence from the Nigerian people, judging from his precedence in government, when he served as the Governor of Anambra State of Nigeria.
This asserted him the status as the only Political MESSIAH that can save Nigeria from her leadership woes.
Mr. Peter Obi was the Vice Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the 2019 General Elections and later contested for President under the Labour Party in 2023.
Some of the achievements of His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi as Governor:
* Raised and Standardized Anambra’s educational system and took it from 25th to 1st in Waec, ensured all schools had standard ICT centre as he partnered with Microsoft.
* Started and commissioned Igbariam University (ANSU)
* Supported and commissioned Innoson Auto industry at Nnewi into a national automobile industry.
* Built and commissioned a standard brewery at Onitsha.
* Built and commissioned Modernized Poultry and encouraged Agriculture with funds and equipment across Anambra.
* Constructed an all round good road network around the state that even deep villages had good roads to move about with.
* Electricity was stable for at least 16 hours daily.
* Built major bore-holes around deep communities.
* Tackled security issues as at when Anambra was too hot, even the previous governor was kidnapped. But Peter Obi came in, calm the whole insecurities, introduced community security and ensured all community had pick-up vans, facilities and equipment to tackle insecurities.
* Paid all existing Pension, salary and gratuity owed by previous govt before him worth over N33 billion.
* Never owed any state worker in his 8 years tenure and ensured all project payments were paid to contractors.
* Built over 10 standard health care systems across Anambra that he himself used during his tenure rather than travel out like other politicians for medical health care.
* He was still able to save over N75 billion in cash and investment in which he called it ‘Future Funds’ for the next Govt to use in improving Anambra’s economy.
Indeed his track records of performance speaks for him.
This is the exact reason why he is the leader of the OBIDIENTS movement and about to replicate the Anambra transformation on a National scale if given the opportunity to govern the country.

Africa is a blessed continent with the best mineral reserves and resources in the world but plagued by incompetent and inept leadership.
The OBIDIENTS eruption is the only solution to epileptic leadership and defects in Africa.
