Doyin Okupe, a former presidential spokesperson, has died, according to reports from Sahara Reporters. His passing was confirmed on Friday, March 7, 2025.
Okupe had served as the Director-General of Peter Obi’s Presidential Campaign but stepped down following a money laundering conviction.
After the 2023 general elections, he left the Labour Party and later aligned himself as a vocal supporter of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
