Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, the Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, yesterday attended the Ojodu LCDA APC Extraordinary General Meeting convened by Hon. James Abiodun Faleke (House Of Representatives Member, Ikeja Federal Constituency).
The meeting, bouyed by Ojodu LCDA’s pivotal position in Ikeja politics is aimed at strengthening party unity and strategizing for future elections, brought together party stakeholders, leaders and members.
Addressing attendees, APC Lagos State officer and party chieftain, Hon. Oludele Sonola, urged members to adhere strictly to party guidelines towards the forthcoming Local Government electioneering process. Ojodu LCDA APC Chairperson, Mrs. Olusola Kokumo, commended Hon. Faleke and Hon. Odunmbaku for their commitment to the party’s growth and the constituency’s development.
In his remarks, Hon. Odunmbaku praised party members for their unity, which has created an enabling environment for effective governance. He highlighted his administration’s achievements in healthcare, education, youth and women empowerment, social welfare and infrastructural development. He also emphasized the collaborative efforts with the Lagos State Government, which is significantly improving infrastructure and environmental management within Ojodu LCDA.
Ward representatives took turns to affirm the progress recorded under Hon. Odunmbaku’s leadership, while the Leader of the Ojodu LCDA Legislative House, Hon. Opeyemi Apatira and Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Olaide John Bello, echoed the positive impact of both Hon. Faleke and Hon. Odunmbaku’s invaluable contributions.
The APC apex leaders, in an unanimous decision represented by Hon. Tayo Orekoya and seconded by Chief Matthew Adesanya, applauded the Council Chairman for fostering peace, progress and sustainable development in Ojodu LCDA.
Hon. Faleke, in his closing remarks, urged members to remain united and dedicated to the party’s success. He assured them of continuous and better distribution of empowerment initiatives while encouraging greater participation from members, increased votes that targets 80 percent of registered voters in elections and commitment toward strengthening the APC in Ojodu LCDA.
