Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has courageously revealed that she was sexually assaulted five times throughout her life, sharing her painful experiences publicly for the first time.
In an emotional interview with Biola Bayo on the “Talk to B” show, Ojo spoke out strongly against rape, affirming that no one, not even family members, should be exempt from facing accountability for such acts.
Alongside the difficult revelations of her abuse, Ojo also opened up about her upbringing.
She shared that she was raised by her grandmother due to her father’s struggles with addiction, particularly his battles with alcoholism and drug abuse, which ultimately led to his death at the age of 49.
Reflecting on her challenging childhood, Ojo discussed the emotional toll it took on her.
Despite the trauma, she remains committed to advocating against sexual violence and stated that she would hold anyone, including her own son, accountable if they were ever involved in such crimes.
The actress also touched on her relationship with her father, explaining that their estrangement coincided with her decision to marry the man she loved deeply.
