The Honourable Member representing Oluyole Federal Constituency, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe on Friday, receieved a rousing welcome from constituents across Oluyole as she commissioned additional five transformers, and five school building projects across the constituency.
The projects were executed through different ministries, departments, and agencies of the Federal Government.
The school projects commissioned were at St. Thomas Primary School, Olose Baare; Kolomi Primary School, Liberty Academy; Molete High School, New Garage; Ago Awawu Community School, Ago; and Community Grammar School, Egbeda Atuba.
Akande-Sadipe also commissioned 500/32kva transformers located at Elewure Community, Soka; Aba-Ode Community, Soka; Lanisa Community, Lanisa; Olunde Community, Olunde and Mahun community, Mahun.
Speaking at the commissioning of the classrooms within Oluyole Federal Constituency, Representative Akande-Sadipe, who chairs the House Committee on Humanitarian Affairs, said she places premium on educational infrastructure and rural development.
The Federal lawmaker added that she was committed to upgrading education for the overall benefit of the pupils and communities in her constituency.
“These projects were flagged off last year; and I am glad that we are here today to commission them for the benefit of the pupils and the community. I call on members of the benefiting communities to guide their projects with utmost care,” she said.
At the transformer locations the lawmaker urged the communities to protect the infrastructure from vandals.
She noted that the occasion was a testament to the unwavering commitment of the President Tinubu-led administration to strengthening Nigeria’s electricity infrastructure to enhance power delivery to the citizens.
“As a Federal Lawmaker, I am always ready to work actively with every relevant agency to ensure infrastructural development, security and sustainability across Oluyole Federal constituency”, she said.
Speaking at Egbeda-atuba community, the Patron, Egbeda-Atuba Descendants Union, Chief Johnson Akintayo said that the school structure built in Community Grammar School, Egbeda-Tuba by Akande-Sadipe is a testament to her commitment to the constituency.
He lauded the lawmaker for facilitating such a project, recalling her past assistance of providing roofing sheets, and bags of cement to the community.
Deacon Femi Oladipo, who spoke on behalf of Chief Akintayo, thanked Akande-Sadipe for meeting her commitments and delivering on her promises.
Also, a resident of Olunde, Mr. Adesoji Adewale, said the new transformer has added value to the well-being of residents in the community.
“We are proud of this achievement, as this power project has added to the value of our dear community”, he said.
During the visit, the lawmaker also stopped to inspect the ongoing construction of the Olomi-Olojuoro road to ascertain the progress.
