Hon. Comrade Francis Obule, Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Political Matters, has emphasized that the recent endorsement of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori by Rt. Hon. Francis Ejiroghene Waive for a second term highlights the Governor’s exceptional leadership, which transcends political boundaries.
In a remarkable display of political unity, the endorsement by Hon. Waive, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has further solidified Governor Oborevwori’s popularity across party lines.
This act underscores the Governor’s commitment to inclusive governance and progress, as outlined in his MORE AGENDA.
Speaking on the importance of this endorsement in Warri, Comrade Obule described it as a clear indication of the Governor’s broad-based appeal.
Despite political differences, Hon. Waive’s public support reflects the widespread recognition that the Oborevwori-led administration is making significant strides in areas such as development, security, and the well-being of the people of Delta State.
Obule noted that the endorsement should not be seen as just political rhetoric but as a sincere acknowledgment of Governor Oborevwori’s dedication to delivering on his M.O.R.E. Agenda, which focuses on Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security.
“The endorsement from Hon. Waive reflects a growing consensus among Deltans of all political stripes that the Governor’s policies and leadership are positively impacting the state,” Obule remarked. “Governor Oborevwori’s administration has proven that governance is about improving lives, not about political party affiliation.”
Highlighting some of the administration’s achievements, Obule pointed to critical infrastructural projects, advancements in education and healthcare, as well as progress in economic empowerment and security.
He urged all stakeholders in Delta State to unite behind the Governor to ensure continued growth and stability beyond 2027.
Obule also appealed to opposition political parties to direct their energies and resources towards supporting the progress of the state, rather than engaging in fruitless political conflicts.
He specifically called on the people of Delta South, including the Isokos, Ijaws, and Itsekiris, to throw their full support behind Governor Oborevwori, helping to secure the state’s leadership for the future, especially in 2031.
