Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has earned praise for his commitment to fulfilling promises made under his MORE Agenda.
Air Vice Marshal Frank Ajobena (Rtd.), a former Military Administrator of Abia State and member of the Delta State Security and Peace Advisory Council, acknowledged the Governor’s progress in areas such as infrastructure, environmental management, and economic development.
In a statement made in Mereje, Okpe LGA, Ajobena applauded the Governor’s ambitious infrastructure projects, particularly the significant road constructions and the awarding of two flyover contracts to Julius Berger.
He emphasized that these projects are not only reshaping the state but also improving the living conditions for residents.
Looking to the future, Ajobena urged Governor Oborevwori to explore new opportunities in the energy sector, stressing the importance of investing in power generation and distribution.
He suggested that stable electricity, combined with accessible roads, would create an ideal environment for businesses, attract investors, and boost economic growth.
Ajobena also proposed revitalizing the Songhai Farm in Amukpe, Sapele, as a center for hands-on agricultural training.
He recommended offering farming inputs such as fertilizers, tractors, and other essential equipment, instead of cash loans, to ensure resources are used efficiently and to combat unemployment.
On national security, Ajobena emphasized the need for swift federal government intervention in the ongoing farmers-herders conflict and advocated for ranching as the long-term solution.
He also voiced criticism of President Tinubu’s handling of the Rivers State political crisis, calling the intervention unconstitutional.
Finally, Ajobena underscored the importance of improving work ethics in Nigeria.
He encouraged employees to embrace professionalism and accountability as key drivers for business sustainability and economic prosperity.
