After spending 12 days in the custody of his abductors, the National President of the Afenifere Youth Council, Eniola Olajuni, has regained his freedom.
As reported by PUNCH, the National Secretary of the Youth Council, Biodun Aderohunmu, confirmed his release in a brief WhatsApp message on Saturday, simply stating, “He has been released.”
Olajuni was kidnapped on Monday, February 17, 2025, while traveling to Abuja for a meeting. His captors had demanded a ransom of N100 million along with two tricycles before releasing him.
Following a widely circulated video in which Olajuni, held at gunpoint, pleaded for assistance, the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, directed the Intelligence Response Team to intervene and ensure his safe return.
