The newly inaugurated Executive Chairman of Ose Local Government, Hon. Barr. Clement Kolapo Ojo, has dedicated his tenure to God, vowing to lead with integrity, unity, and a commitment to addressing pressing community issues.
According to a statement obtained by Veracity News and signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Oluwaseun Ogunniyi, to mark his first day in office, Hon. Ojo led a delegation to Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Oke Isegun, Ifon DCC Headquarters, for a thanksgiving service, where he sought divine guidance for his administration.
His visit came a day after his official inauguration alongside 17 other local government chairmen at The DOME, Akure.
During the service, Pastor J.E. Ibitoye, the DCC Superintendent, urged the new chairman to govern with diligence and integrity, drawing his sermon from John 3:37.
He commended Hon. Ojo for prioritizing God and prayed for divine wisdom to guide his leadership.
Expressing gratitude to the people of Ose Local Government, Hon. Ojo assured them of his dedication to selfless service, stating that he was ready to lead from the front and serve the interests of his constituents.
He emphasized his commitment to promoting unity and fostering cooperation for the growth of the local government.
Following the thanksgiving service, Hon. Ojo proceeded to the Ose Local Government Secretariat, where he formally assumed office in the presence of religious leaders and supporters.
Demonstrating his commitment to security and public welfare, Hon. Ojo visited the Ifon Divisional Police Station, which was recently gutted by fire. After assessing the extent of the damage—estimated at millions of naira—he pledged urgent intervention to restore the facility.
Hon. Ojo also extended his sympathies to families affected by recent security crises, including the family of the late Bamise Orisamolade, allegedly killed by a police officer.
He assured the grieving relatives that justice would be served, promising that necessary actions would be taken to ensure justice prevails.
His tour of duty continued with an inspection of the Chairman’s Lodge, signaling the official commencement of his administrative responsibilities.
Hon. Ojo’s first day in office set the tone for a tenure focused on service, justice, security, and community development, reinforcing his pledge to work in the best interest of the people of Ose Local Government.
