Hon. Kolawole Babatunde has congratulated Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, on the successful inauguration of elected Local Government Chairmen across the state’s 18 Local Government Areas, describing it as a significant step towards deepening democracy at the grassroots.
In a statement, Babatunde lauded the governor’s commitment to participatory governance, emphasizing that the swearing-in of the council bosses reflects his administration’s dedication to ensuring that the voices of the people are heard and represented at all levels.
“The emplacement of democratic structures at this critical third tier of government is a clear testament to your unwavering commitment to participatory governance, one that ensures the voices of the people at the grassroots are heard and represented,” he said.
He also commended the quality of individuals elected, attributing it to Aiyedatiwa’s emphasis on excellence and good governance.
“The caliber of individuals elected across the local government areas is a reflection of your keen eye for excellence and your dedication to quality service delivery. Their emergence underscores your resolve to bring capable leadership closer to the people, fostering impactful governance at all levels,” Babatunde stated.
Encouraging the newly sworn-in chairmen to align with the governor’s developmental blueprint, OUR EASE (Odatiwa Odirorun), he urged them to ensure its principles are implemented in their respective local government areas.
“As these newly sworn-in Chairmen assume office, I urge them to key into your visionary developmental blueprint, OUR EASE (Odatiwa Odirorun), by domesticating its principles within their respective local government areas. This will further drive meaningful development and enhance the well-being of our people,” he advised.
While wishing the new council chairmen a successful and impactful tenure, Babatunde reaffirmed his confidence in Aiyedatiwa’s leadership and vision for the state.
“While wishing the new Council bosses a successful and impactful tenure, I once again commend your leadership and vision for a progressive Ondo State. Congratulations, once again, Your Excellency!” he concluded.
