In a remarkable display of generosity, Mr. Christian Efe Esharedoro, former President of the PTI Student Union Government and a key member of the Hon. Barr. Edafe Emakpor Political Family, has paid the final examination fees for seventeen underprivileged pupils at Alegbo Primary School, Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State.
The donation will enable these students to sit for the Delta State Cognitive Placement Examination, which many of them could not afford due to financial constraints.
Mr. Efe-Esharedoro, in a brief but impactful speech, shared that the donation was aimed at empowering the students to take the exam and ultimately contribute to society’s progress. He emphasized that education is the bedrock of development and that no child should be denied an opportunity due to financial hardship.
On February 3rd, 2025, Mr. Efe-Esharedoro visited Alegbo Primary School’s Primary Six classroom, where he was warmly welcomed by the students. They were unaware that his visit would provide a lifeline, as the pupils had been unable to pay the enrollment fees just hours before the deadline.
In his speech, Mr. Efe-Esharedoro connected his gesture to the ongoing developmental initiatives of his political mentor, Hon. Edafe Emakpor, the member representing Uvwie Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly.
He referenced Hon. Emakpor’s prior donation of ninety-eight school uniforms to the same school, stating that his contribution was part of a broader effort to uplift the less privileged and promote education in Uvwie LGA.
He encouraged the students to seize this opportunity and do their best in the examination, noting that it could open doors to future success. He also promised to continue supporting his community, particularly in the area of education.
The Head Teacher of Alegbo Primary School, Chief Mrs. Otevwerhi Patricia Kehinde, expressed deep gratitude to Mr. Efe-Esharedoro and the entire Emakpor Political Family for their unwavering commitment to the grassroots. She prayed for blessings upon him, acknowledging the political family’s consistent efforts in empowering the community, especially the students who represent the future leaders of the nation.
In separate speeches, Mr. Eworitse Hillary Oruru, Mr. Aliu Moses, and Ms. Oghenevwede Anita Tejiri, members of Mr. Efe-Esharedoro’s team, reiterated their dedication to supporting projects that drive development in Uvwie LGA, regardless of political affiliation.
The seventeen beneficiaries, overwhelmed with gratitude, hailed Mr. Efe-Esharedoro as a “God-sent” figure, expressing how his support had given them hope when they thought they couldn’t afford the exam. They promised to make the most of this opportunity and perform excellently.
