YAPJEN Commends Gov Soludo Over Unveiling Of Udo Ga-Achi & Agunechemba

A Good Governance and Advocacy Group, Youth Advocates for Peace Justice and Empowerment Network [YAPJEN], has commended the Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, for signing the Anambra Home Land Security Law, which was passed by the State House of Assembly, and for setting up a special security operations code named, Udo Ga-Achi and Agunechemba.
In a Press Statement by the Group’s Director of Communication, Comrade Benedict Chidobem Esq,, the group commended the Governor for unveiling the special security operations, stating that it is long overdue.
In his words, “For years Ndi Anambra have been kidnapped, robbed and murdered by these criminals while cult related killings skyrocketed especially at Awka, the State Capital”.
Comrade Benedict Chidobem called on the State Government to ensure the strict implementation of the Home Land Security law, and avoid being tempted to recruit touts and untrained persons into the security operations.
He further advised the personnels of the security operations to always adhere to the provision of extant laws and always respect the fundermental human rights of Ndi Anambra in carrying out their duties, in dictating and preventing crimes in the State. He also called on the State Government to ensure constant supervision of the special security operations activities.
The group called on stakeholders, captains of industry, private and public sector players, hotel owners, President Generals, individuals and communities to collaborate with the members of the special security operations because security is a collective effort from everyone.
