The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo State Council, has expressed deep condolences to the family of the late Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi, the Secretary to the Ondo State Government (SSG).
The union also extended its sympathies to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the Ondo State Government, and the entire people of the state over the passing of one of its most respected politicians.
In a statement signed by its Chairman, Prince Leke Adegbite, and State Secretary, Comrade Olaoluwa Meshack, the NUJ described Hon. Oluwatuyi’s death as shocking and painful, particularly for his immediate family, the people of Akure, and his loved ones.
The union praised the late SSG as a gentle and reliable leader, a notable philanthropist, and a staunch ally of the media. His death, the NUJ noted, leaves a significant void that will not be easily filled.
“Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi will be remembered for his political finesse, peaceful disposition, strategic acumen, and his unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people of Akure and beyond,” the statement read.
The NUJ called on his family and associates to find solace in the belief that God, the giver of life, determines its course and duration.
As the Ondo State Council joins others in mourning, the NUJ prays for the peaceful repose of Hon. Oluwatuyi’s soul and asks that God grants his family, friends, and the people of Ondo State the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
