A popular singer, Habeeb Okikiola also known as Portable has alleged that some unknown persons are planning to set him up.
This he said, was the reason why he kept the live concert in Ibadan where he was expected to thrill fans at arm’s length.
In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter) by Yabaleft online, Veracity reports that Portable gave the rationale behind his conspicuous absent while speaking in yoruba in the 59secs video.
In his words already translated to English, the Singer said, “I heard you people want to set me up, the mission will fail and if you see us you people would be smiling. What happened is that am not feeling too well. The person sent chicken change, through my Manager, I thought the fund was much but it was just chicken change.
“The money can’t buy kilishi (grilled meat) I can’t be in the midst of people who would descend on me so that they would now kill me the way they killed Jesus. Is it good I should be stoned to death? It is Jesus’ fans that deceived me. This people want to deceive me, they gave me chicken change.”
