Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has expressed deep condolences to Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah over the death of his brother, Yohanna Sidi Kukah, the Agwom Akulu of Ikulu Kingdom.
In a statement issued by his media office and signed by his Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, Atiku also extended sympathies to the Ikulu Kingdom in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, where the late Yohanna Kukah served as the traditional ruler.
Atiku described the deceased as a remarkable community leader who dedicated his life to promoting harmony and fostering inter-community and inter-faith relations, not only in Kaduna State but across the nation.
“My heartfelt condolences go to the Kukah family, the Ikulu Kingdom, and particularly the immediate family of the late Agwom Akulu. His exemplary life and legacy will continue to inspire leadership rooted in service to the people and community,” Atiku stated.
He further noted that Yohanna Kukah’s contributions to peacebuilding and interfaith relations will be greatly missed, urging everyone to pray for the repose of his soul and for strength for the bereaved family and community to endure this profound loss.
