The Deputy President of Seaport Operations for the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Princess Chi Eze (popularly known as Akwaugo 1), has applauded the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi (MFR), for recognizing and rewarding exceptional Customs officers for their hard work and dedication.
Speaking from her Apapa office during an interaction with Trace Crew, Princess Chi congratulated the Customs Area Controller of the Tin Can Island Port Command, Comptroller Dera Nnadi (mni), on receiving an honorary award from the Comptroller-General.
Princess Chi, who is also the CEO of Muna Sylver Nigeria Limited and the only female member of the Governing Board of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN), expressed her admiration for CAC Nnadi’s achievements.
“I wholeheartedly congratulate CAC Nnadi on his well-deserved award and Certificate of Excellence presented during the CGC Award Night Ceremony. His humility, wisdom, and ability to connect with people are commendable. He leads without discrimination, and his accommodating nature sets him apart,” she remarked.
Highlighting his contributions, Princess Chi praised CAC Nnadi’s leadership for transforming the Tin Can Island Port Command. She particularly commended the construction of an in-house eatery, which she described as timely and convenient for stakeholders who previously had to leave the premises for quality meals.
“His eye for quality and durability is evident in the materials used for the eatery. It’s a testament to his commitment to workplace transformation and the well-being of officers and stakeholders,” she added.
Comptroller Dera Nnadi, celebrated for his leadership and innovation, received multiple accolades during the CGC Award Night, including the Special Award for Workplace Transformation and recognition for his Distinctive Performance and Commitment to the Vision of the Nigeria Customs Service.
These awards, according to Princess Chi, underscore his remarkable contributions to trade facilitation, infrastructure development, and the overall success of the Tin Can Island Port Command.
